Project 02
Tapestria
Tapestria is a solo-built mood-journaling Progressive Web App prototype. It records one to three moods per day with intensity and tags, then presents entries through Month and Year color views.
01
Problem / idea
The product explores a compact daily mood record that remains useful when reviewed across longer periods. Each entry supports one to three moods, intensity, and tags.
02
Product philosophy
Tapestria deliberately excludes streaks and gamification. The product treats mood journaling as reflection rather than a score, reward loop, or daily performance target.
03
Feature set
Daily entries combine moods, intensity, and tags. Month view supports closer review; Year view uses color to show a longer record.
04
Technical implementation
The prototype uses Node.js, Express, node:sqlite, vanilla JavaScript, and
CSS. It was built solo as a single-user application.
05
Local / PWA architecture
Tapestria is hosted locally on a Windows PC, reached through Tailscale, and installed on iOS as a home-screen PWA.
06
Limitations / tradeoffs
The recorded version is local, single-user, and prototype-only. It has no confirmed public launch, usage metrics, or user feedback. No Git repository was recorded at that stage.
07
Current state / reflection
The prototype contains the daily entry flow and two review scales. Its deliberate absence of streaks and gamification keeps the product centered on recording and reviewing mood patterns.
